I have been hearing from a lot of people
about the pop up ads and windows that they get when visiting some websites.
There are several different little
programs that can be downloaded that will prevent these windows from opening.

PopOops is a small and easy to use
program that blocks ALL popup windows in Internet Explorer. It runs in
system tray and optionally plays sound and/or shows balloon tooltip (tooltip
in Windows 2K/Me/XP only) every time popup is blocked. |

tool to block popup windows of IE. It's not an advanced popup killer

running while you browse the Internet and it will give you control
over unwanted "Popup" browser windows. Popki lets you allow
popups and new browser windows when desired. |
