Tip for March, how to send truly
personalized email.
( This applies to users who are using
Outlook Express version 5.5 or higher)
Open Outlook Express
Click on the little down arrow to the
right of the "New Mail or Create Message" button on the top toolbar.
(Click
on the thumbnails to see larger pictures)

Click "Select Stationary"

Select "Create New" on the
new window.
You will be presented with a Create
Stationary window.

Use the options choose your
personalized background picture or color. You can select any picture
that is on your computer by using the "browse" button. (Be
aware that a big picture file will create a BIG email that will not only take
a long time to send but will take as long for the recipient to download...)

When you are satisfied with the
background, click "next" to select the font and font color.
(Try NOT to select some real exotic font, while it may look right on your
computer, the same font HAS to be installed on the receiving computer for it
to display.)

When you have select your font
properties, click "Next to select the page Margins.

Click "Next" to save your
custom Email.

The new "Template" will be
saved in your Stationary Folder along with the default stationary.

To Use your newly created stationary,

open a new message, click
"Format" place your mouse over "Apply Stationary".
To have Outlook Express use your new
(or one of the pre-made) stationary templates for all of your outgoing email,
Click "Tools" Select Options,
Click on the "Compose" Tab at
the top,
Place a checkmark in the
"Mail" section of Stationary then click the select button to make
your choice.
